My name is Oriol and I was born in 1986 in Girona, a beautiful city where I started my piano musical studies. After some years studying a bachelor’s degree in architecture, I realized that what I truly desired was expressing myself through music and singing. Therefore, I am currently a professional baritone singer, as a soloist and in choirs and professional ensembles.
I hold a Bachelor of Music from the Superior School of Music of Catalonia (ESMuC), where I specialized in Music Performance with Mireia Pintó; I also trained with Joan Martín-Royo, Marta Mathéu, Lambert Climent and Marcel Boone. I have as well received advice from Ton Koopman, Lluís Vilamajó, Wolfram Rieger, Benjamin Bruns, Clemens Morgenthaler, Francisco Poyato, Josep Surinyac, Alan Branch and Viviana Salisi.
Regularly singing with Collegium Vocale Gent, conducted by Philippe Herreweghe; as well as with La Jove Capella Reial de Catalunya, conducted by Lluís Vilamajó; and with La Capella Reial de Catalunya, conducted by Jordi Savall; I also often sing with Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música, conducted by Xavier Puig; and with Ensemble O Vos Omnes, conducted by Xavier Pastrana. I am part of Coro Victoria in Madrid.
Combining the activity of being a choir singer with being a soloist, I perform a varied repertoire of oratorio, opera and lied, from the Renaissance to the present day.
